Singapore (30th March, 2016) — ASUS was honored with a Channel NewsAsia Innovation Luminary Award at a ceremony held today at The Fullerton Hotel in Singapore. Awarded to companies headquartered in Asia that demonstrate excellence in innovation, the prestigious Channel NewsAsia Innovation Luminary Award underscores the ASUS commitment to creating breakthrough technology and providing incredible experiences to consumers.

"I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to Channel NewsAsia and the jury panel for honoring ASUS with the prestigious Innovation Luminary Award," said ASUS APAC General Manager Rex Lee, who received the award on behalf of the company. "ASUS has grown significantly over the past 26 years, but our passion for technology and innovation remains unchanged. We will carry this spirit into the future and continue to deliver the incredible in everything we do."

ASUS is committed to persistent innovation and is recognized as an industry trendsetter with a strong record of technology breakthroughs and positive consumer feedback. In 2007, ASUS revolutionized the PC industry with EeePC, a mobile computer that was a worldwide sensation and created the netbook PC category. ASUS followed this success in 2011 with the introduction of Transformer Book, the world's first 2-in-1 laptop and tablet. In 2014, the company launched ZenFone, a series of smartphones that bring all-around performance and empowering luxury to consumers. ASUS makes the world’s best-selling motherboards and, according to IDC, is the No. 1 consumer notebook brand in the Asia/Pacific (excluding China and Japan) region.

The Channel NewsAsia Innovation Luminary Award recognizes companies that demonstrate Asia's strength in development and innovation. Award recipients are nominated by a distinguished jury of business leaders, academics, and media professionals, and are evaluated on numerous criteria, including financial performance, degree of innovation, and corporate social responsibility. Channel NewsAsia Luminary Awards include four categories: the Green Luminary Award, the Innovation Luminary Award, the Future Business Luminary Award, and the Lifetime Achievement Luminary Award.
