Break free from all limitations and game anywhere
ROG is completely amped up about the ROG Mothership (GZ700) and ROG Zephyrus S (GX701) compact gaming laptops that have further pushed the limits of versatility and performance. ROG has redefined the desktop replacement laptop category with ROG Mothership, moving from a design which traditionally sits flat to one that stands tall to draw more air into its advanced cooling system. ROG utilized this vertical form factor to re-engineer the ventilation system to keep internal temperatures lower for longer and provide better performance. Its keyboard detaches and folds to fit different scenarios, giving gamers the freedom to find the perfect position, and the innovative design leaves enough room to put all the speakers right below the screen.
ROG Mothership is housed in an exquisitely machined aluminum chassis, built from solid slabs of aluminum using a precise CNC milling process involving 114 individual tooling stages and nearly 20 hours of precision carving. It features a jaw-dropping Full HD G-Sync display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 3ms GTG response time and is powered by the latest NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 graphics and Intel® Core™ i9 processor. ROG Mothership also comes with Hyperdrive Extreme, which uses ASUS-exclusive technology to combine up to three NVMe PCIe 3.0 x4 SSDs to provide the world’s fastest RAID 0 storage in a gaming laptop for ultrafast data-access and write speeds.
ROG also showed off the new Zephyrus S (GX701), the most compact 17-inch gaming laptop at only18.7mm thin and the only gaming laptop on the market with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 with Max-Q Design graphics. This is an incredible achievement considering the Zephyrus S (GX701) also packs up to an 8th Gen Intel Core processor, four DDR slots for up to 24GB of RAM and a 1TB PCIe SSD.
Zephyrus S (GX701) comes with a super-fast 144Hz refresh rate and 3ms GTG response time that ensure a sharp and clear image during fast action. The display is not only perfect for playing games, but for creative content work where accurate colors are critical. It’s carefully tuned at the factory to ensure each one meets stringent Pantone® Validated color requirements for accuracy and uniformity. ProArt™ TruColor Technology guarantees color accuracy that is better than most desktop monitors.
All this extreme power is kept cool with the ASUS-exclusive Active Aerodynamic System (AAS), which increases airflow spaces by 20%, reduces temperatures by 20% and improves overall system airflow by 32%. The AAS also comes with AeroAccelerator technology, a special fan system that increases airflow speed and efficiency. This is possible due to a special liquid-crystal polymer material that enables the fan to fit 83 separate blades in the same amount of space where traditional fans only fit 53 blades.
Zephyrus S (GX701) will also come with a bundled ROG Zephyrus External Camera (GC21), the world’s first Full HD USB external camera that can record smooth 1080p video at 60 FPS and takes up little space when folded shut with its 17mm thin design.
Game harder with more screen space and better graphics
In order to improve gamers’ visual experiences and give them an edge in their game battles, ROG revealed the ROG Strix XG438Q gaming monitor and the ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2060 and ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 2080 Ti graphics cards.
ROG Strix XG438Q is a stunning 43-inch UHD (3840 x 2160 resolution) gaming monitor with an ultrafast 120Hz refresh rate and FreeSync 2 HDR technology that lays to rest any problems with screen tearing and choppy frame rates, delivering an optimized visual experience for unbelievable game play.
ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2060 is the first mainstream ray-tracing graphics card and will adopt all of the premium features from ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2070, including Wing-blade fans and the Auto-Extreme automated manufacturing process. For those looking for a way to try out ray-tracing technology, ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2060 offers excellent value.
The Republic of Gamers welcomes a new addition to the prestigious Matrix lineup: the ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 2080 Ti. The Matrix name is reserved for exceptional products that leap forward, exceeding innovation and performance expectations. The new ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 2080 Ti is the latest graphics card to earn this pedigree by introducing a unique all-in-one closed-loop cooling system. With the pump, tubing and radiator all integrated seamlessly under the shroud, the Matrix is cooler and quieter than air-cooled cards, while taking up the same amount of space. Each card has been binned and tuned to deliver the best out-of-the-box Turing™ experience, making the Matrix the ultimate enthusiast graphics card for small chassis and air-cooled builds.
Bringing more power to the people
ROG demoed the latest and greatest motherboards at its Media Showroom, including ROG Zenith Extreme Alpha, ROG Rampage Extreme Omega, ROG Dominus Extreme, and the CES 2019 Innovation Award-winning ROG Maximus XI Formula. The Alpha and Omega both feature 16 power stages that are strategically paired to rapidly deliver the power requirements that stem from the AMD Threadripper and Intel Core X-series multiple-core processors.
ROG Dominus Extreme is engineered to exceed the stringent power demands of high-core count platforms to deliver the computing power necessary for hardware enthusiasts or creative professionals, and to push the boundaries of PC performance without traditional desktop constraints or budgets. ROG collaborated with Phanteks and In-Win to demonstrate the limitless potential of ROG Dominus Extreme by building a custom loop system. Given the unique form-factor of the Dominus, ROG is also working with ecosystem partners, such as chassis and water-block manufacturers, to ensure a range of compatible components.
ROG Maximus XI Formula, winner of a CES® 2019 Innovation award, exhibits the sleek, refined and functional design that has become iconic in the Maximus motherboard series. With its distinctive integrated CrossChill EK III cooling block, intelligent overclocking software and a stunning polished-mirror finish, the latest-generation Formula is set to make showcase rigs shine.
To help ensure optimal CPU temperatures, ROG launched a new ROG Strix AIO cooler, a sibling of ROG Ryuo. It comes with 120 and 240mm radiators and is designed for compact and mid-size gaming rigs. ROG Strix AIO coolers preserves all the essential elements found on ROG Ryuo and features an illuminated ROG logo with Aura sync support, making it a vital part of any gaming system.
ROG created a concept system using a special edition version of the ROG Strix Helios mid-tower gaming case to demonstrate a few new ROG additions that raise the bar for system control and DIY builds. The special-edition ROG Strix Helios case features an integrated OLED panel to display real-time stats and conditions of the entire system, including motherboard temperatures, fan speeds and more to show how ROG motherboards can communicate with other components via the new ASUS Node interface, an innovative new motherboard connector that can monitor and control attached devices. The other main feature demoed in the concept system is the new Armory Crate interface, designed as a central command center that integrates key applications, such as Aura Sync and Armoury II, into one location for a better user experience.
Optimized network connections for streaming AAA game titles
The new ROG Rapture GT-AC2900 dual-band gigabit Wi-Fi router is one of the world’s first routers being optimized for the NVIDIA GeForce NOW recommended program. GeForce NOW recommended routers undergo rigorous testing to ensure they provide the best possible quality of experience, and lowest possible latency, for cloud gaming. GeForce NOW is a cloud gaming service that turns your underpowered or incompatible system into a powerful gaming rig, and connects you to popular PC game stores like Steam and Uplay. ROG Rapture GT-AC2900 also comes with RGB lighting, making it a great addition to the ambiance of game centers, as well as triple-level game acceleration that prioritizes gaming traffic from the device to the server.
Elite gaming accessories and peripherals for superior gaming and style
ROG prides itself on innovating the best gaming gear, whether engineering the hardware or cooling systems to smoothly run game titles or designing the peripherals to engage with games and content. Every detail matters for gamers, including the location and size of keyboard buttons, the sensitivity and tactility of the mouse, and the style and messages that can be communicated through accessories. ROG considered these details and specific pain points when designing its latest lineup of peripherals and accessories, including the ROG Strix CTRL mechanical keyboard, ROG Gaming Keycap Set, ROG Strix Carry wireless gaming mouse, ROG Chariot gaming chair and ROG Ranger BP3703 gaming backpack.
The ROG Strix CTRL mechanical keyboard is equipped with world-renowned German Cherry MX RGB switches to give gamers that preferred crisp feel and solid tactile feedback demanded in a keyboard as well as an enlarged Ctrl key to benefit first-person-shooter (FPS) gamers. Besides the premium ROG slash design and Aura-sync compatibility for synchronizing LED lighting effects, ROG added a new Stealth key, which enables gamers to instantly hide all apps and mute any sound immediately, and a quick-toggle shortcut to quickly switch between functions and media inputs. The keyboard also comes with four additional sliver-hued WASD keycaps for customization as well as a keycap puller tool for easy keycap removal.
To give gamers the option to enhance their mechanical keyboards, ROG also introduced the ROG Gaming Keycap Set comprised of seven textured side-lit FPS and MOBA keys as well as an ROG-red metallic keycap. The keycaps are compatible with Cherry MX mechanical switches, and the set includes a keycap-puller tool for easy installation.
For gamers on the go, ROG created the pocket-sized ROG Strix Carry, a portable wireless gaming mouse that can last for over 300 hours of continuous gaming on a pair of standard AA batteries and features a gaming-grade PMX3330 optical sensor with up to 7,200 adjustable DPI for excellent precision. It can connect to any laptop or PC via 2.4GHz radio frequency (RF) for a 1000Hz / 1ms polling rate or via Bluetooth.
The right combination of comfort, ergonomics and functionality is essential when selecting a gaming seat, so ROG created the high-quality ROG Chariot and ROG Chariot Core gaming chairs built with easy-decontamination PU fabric, high-resilience cold foam and an all-steel frame to resist wear from water, scratches and high temperatures. Memory foam has been added to the upper headrest and lower lumbar rest to improve comfort and posture as well as reduce stress and back pain. A unique LED lighting feature for cool gaming aesthetics is also available on ROG Chariot.
For gamers who need a new way to flaunt their ROG support and stand out from the crowd, ROG launched the ROG Ranger BP3703 gaming backpack that comes with addressable LEDs for various RGB lighting effects. The ROG Ranger BP3703 gaming backpack has external sensors to detect lighting conditions and adjust brightness accordingly, or users can use the built-in controller on the strap to adjust lighting effects and settings. There will also be another version without the LED features called ROG Ranger BP3703 Core gaming backpack.
For truly unique gaming style, the new ROG PNK LTD series reimagines the ROG Gladius II Origin gaming mouse, ROG Strix Flare gaming keyboard, ROG Strix Fusion 300 headset and ROG Sheath mouse pad in stunning pink color themes, providing more choices for gamers to create setups with the look they desire.
