TAIPEI, Taiwan, January 6, 2026 — ASUS Republic of Gamers today announced two new bags in the Archer series — the ROG Archer Messenger 14 and the ROG Archer Backpack 16. Both bags sport the Archer series’ angular aesthetic, incorporating diagonal lines inspired by an archer’s bow. The Archer Messenger 14 can accommodate up to a 14-inch laptop and features well-thought-out compartments and breathable shoulder straps. Meanwhile, the durable Archer Backpack 16 boasts an expandable, ergonomic design that gives users a large carrying capacity for up to a 16-inch laptop and other essentials. Like the Archer Messenger 14, the backpack features breathable, cushioned shoulder straps for comfort.

ROG Archer Messenger 14: Comfortable and compact 

The Archer Messenger 14 has breathable straps designed to relieve pressure off the shoulders and a mesh back panel that minimizes heat buildup at contact areas, providing all-day comfort. 

The compact bag has a military-grade Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment (MOLLE) system, giving users the flexibility to attach pouches and personal items like water bottles to its exterior. Offering room for all the daily essentials, the Archer Messenger 14 includes numerous interior and exterior pockets, and a padded laptop compartment. There’s also a dedicated RFID-blocking pouch to safeguard wallets and passports from threats like card skimming and key-fob cloning.  

The Archer Messenger 14 is made of premium Cordura 610D water-repellent fabric to protect it from inclement weather as well as abrasions and scratches, while YKK zippers and a Woojin plastic buckle provide durability and reliability. Numerous design accents, including ROG-themed zippers and a dynamic linear aesthetic further enhance the bag’s pronounced design identity.

ROG Archer Backpack 16: Ready for heavy loads 

The ROG Archer Backpack 16 is a slim, multi-layered backpack that has room for up to a 16-inch laptop and other daily essentials, making it perfect for quick getaways or the daily commute. A zipper expansion layer opens up to provide additional spacious compartments, allowing users to carry more for longer trips. Breathable cushioned shoulder straps and an adjustable chest strap reduce pressure when carrying heavy loads, while a mesh rear panel keeps the back cool to ensure comfort.
