ASUS Announces Vivobook Pro 15X OLED and 16X OLED with AMD Ryzen 6000-Series CPUs

TAIPEI, Taiwan, May 10, 2022 — ASUS today announced two new high-performance creator laptops in the Vivobook Pro series for aspiring creators: the 15.6-inch Vivobook Pro 15X OLED (M6501), and the 16-inch Vivobook Pro 16X OLED (M7601).

These feature-packed creator laptops feature high-performance components to ensure maximum performance, including AMD Ryzen^™ 6000-series Mobile Processors with up to 32 GB of DDR5 RAM, studio-grade NVIDIA^® GeForce RTX^™ 3070 Max-Q graphics, and an ultrafast 2 TB PCIe^® 4.0 SSD[1]. The new ASUS IceCool Pro dual-fan, quad-vent cooling system allows sustained peak CPU performance at up to a 140-watt thermal design power[2] (TDP).

Vivobook Pro 16X OLED features either a world-leading 16:10 120 Hz 3.2K OLED HDR 550-nit[3] display or a 60 Hz 4K OLED HDR 600-nit display, while Vivobook Pro 15X OLED has a 16:9 120 Hz 2.8K OLED HDR 600-nit display. These NanoEdge displays are PANTONE^® Validated, VESA DisplayHDR^™ True Black certified[4], and have a cinema-grade 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. For enhanced eye care, they also have TÜV Rheinland certification for low blue-light emissions.

Creator-focused features include the innovative ASUS DialPad[5] and a full set of high-speed I/O ports including USB4^®, full-function USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C^®, USB 3.2 Gen 2 and Gen 1 Type-A, and HDMI^® 2.1, along with an SD Express 7.0 microSD card reader and a 2.5 GbE LAN port. A fingerprint sensor on the power button and a physical webcam shield enhance security and privacy.

The Vivobook Pro X series has Harman Kardon-certified Dolby Atmos^® audio, with a smart amplifier for powerful, distortion-free sound. A three-microphone array incorporates ASUS AI Noise-Canceling Technology for enhanced conference calls. Vivobook Pro 16X OLED has a 16:10 120 Hz 3.2 K OLED HDR 550-nit display with a super-smooth 120 Hz refresh rate and a larger visual workspace, while Vivobook Pro 15X OLED has an expansive 16:9 120 Hz OLED HDR 600-nit display. The OLED displays all have a 0.2 ms response time for smooth, natural-looking visuals.

They are also PANTONE Validated for professional-grade color accuracy, have a cinema-grade 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, an average Delta-E of less than two[7], and are TÜV Rheinland certified for eye-friendly low blue-light emissions and flicker-free operation. Additionally, the new ASUS Splendid technology allows users to select the color gamut to suit different creative tasks: they can choose from the ultravivid native sRGB color setting for creating web content or browsing, DCI-P3 for cinematic content, or Display P3 for movie-grade colors adjusted to fit everyday viewing in the real world. The exclusive ASUS DialPad on Vivobook Pro 16X OLED is a virtual rotary control on the mega-sized touchpad that puts creators in full control of parameter adjustments in compatible Adobe^® creative software or custom functions in any other apps, so they can stay fully focused on the task at hand. It can be customized via the ProArt Creator Hub, which also gives users full access to other creator-related settings and features including performance modes and screen calibration.

The long-lasting high-capacity battery[8] is ready to power creative workflows throughout the day, whether the user is in a favorite coffee shop or seeking inspiration outdoors, and USB-C Easy Charge makes it easy to top up the laptop anywhere. A complete set of I/O ports covers all connectivity needs, from using existing peripherals to adding external displays and projectors. Smart technology

With the increase in remote working and video conferencing, we’ve strengthened the ASUS AI Noise-Canceling Technology in Vivobook Pro 15X OLED and Pro 16X OLED with a built-in three-microphone array to further enhance 360° sound reception. The technology employs machine learning to isolate unwanted noise from human speech. Via the MyASUS app, users can switch between the Microphone Single-Presenter mode, which can filter out ambient noise, and Multi-Presenter mode which picks up all individual voices from different positions for optimum group conference-call quality.
