ASUS Kicks Off Global ZenFone 2 Launch in a Celebration with Over 1,000 Enthusiastic “ZenFans”

Taipei, Taiwan (9th March, 2015) — ASUS released the much-anticipated ZenFone 2 in Taiwan today at an event marking the global launch of the new flagship ASUS smartphone series. More than 1,000 ASUS enthusiasts—known in Taiwan as “ZenFans”—joined in the celebration that took place at the National Taiwan University Sports Center in Taipei. ASUS Chairman Jonney Shih was onstage to introduce the ZenFone 2 and its new mascot, Zenny. He was accompanied by Intel Vice President and General Manager of Asia-Pacific and Japan Robert Swinnen, ASUS Vice Chairman Jonathan Tsang, ASUS CEO Jerry Shen and by Taiwanese pop singer Jam Hsiao.
