ProArt Studiobook 16 3D OLED

LAS VEGAS, January 4, 2023 -ASUS today announced ProArt Studiobook 16 OLED (H7604JI/JV) and Studiobook 16 3D OLED (H7604JI), three ultra-powerful 16-inch mobile workstations designed for the most demanding creative tasks. ProArt Studiobook 16 3D OLED features the world's first glasses-free (autostereoscopic) 3D OLED display, which delivers a totally new experience to visual creators.

These new Studiobook models harness the power of up to 13th Gen Intel® Core™ i9-13980HX processors, up to NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 4070 (H7604/ H7604JI) or NVIDIA RTX™ 3000 Ada Generation Laptop GPUs (W7604), and up to two 4 TB PCIe® 4.0 x4 SSDs to provide maxed-out performance for professional users, along with cutting-edge technology and creator-centric design, making them the no-compromise choice for serious creators, designers, engineers and developers.

Studiobook 16 3D OLED introduces ASUS Spatial Vision technology, which is based around a 16:10 lenticular lens-based 3.2K (3200 x 2000) 120 Hz 3D OLED HDR display that allows stereoscopic 3D content to be viewed with the naked eye, without special glasses. Eye-tracking technology allows the user to move around freely, and a suite of exclusive Spatial Vision apps ensure seamless integration with industry-standard creative apps. The display can be instantly switched between 2D and 3D modes. Studiobook 16 OLED and Pro 16 OLED feature a 3.2K 120 Hz OLED HDR touchscreen with support for an MPP 2.0 stylus.

Creator-centric design is a signature feature of the Studiobook range, and both new models include the innovative ASUS Dial rotary control for precise control of parameters in creative apps. They also include the world's first haptic touchpad with stylus support, which makes it easy to use for drawing or writing.

Superior connectivity is vital for studio use, so there's a full complement of I/O ports including two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C® ports, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, HDMI® 2.1, RJ45 gigabit LAN, an SD Express 7.0 card reader, and a convenient audio combi port.

Studiobook Pro 16 OLED comes with a professional-grade ISV-certified, AI-powered NVIDIA RTX 3000 Ada Generation Laptop GPU, making sure it’s ready for any professional creative software. The advanced ASUS IceCool Pro thermal technology gives these laptops the edge when it comes to performance and quietness. Liquid metal thermal materials on the CPU, five heat pipes and larger 102-blade dual fans boost airflow for better cooling. The new per-key keyboard lighting also helps maximize airflow. ProArt Studiobook 16 3D OLED introduces ASUS Spatial Vision, the world's first glasses-free 3D OLED autostereoscopic laptop display, with built-in eye-tracking. Incorporating breakthrough optical and real-time rendering technology, along with exclusive software tools, Spatial Vision technology offers new and enhanced experiences for creativity, entertainment and more — such as 3D content creation, object demonstrations, video streaming and gaming. It also offers great potential for rapidly-growing metaverse applications.

At the heart of ASUS Spatial Vision is the unique, specially designed ASUS 3D OLED display. OLED delivers benefits that other displays can't achieve, such as high contrast, deep blacks, ultravivid colors and, importantly for 3D, ultrafast refresh rates and response times. Spatial Vision technology adds specially crafted optical layers to the surface of the OLED display, inside upper and lower glass layers that are bonded to the panel with optical resin. A lenticular lens layer directs the stereo images separately to each eye, and a switchable liquid crystal layer lets users turn the 3D effect on and off instantly at any time.

Spatial Vision includes an eye-tracking camera system that allows users to see 3D images from different viewing positions, for a truly immersive 3D experience. The dual cameras continuously detect the precise position of each eye, and use this information to perform real-time image rendering and weaving to create a 3D image that automatically adjusts as the user moves their head around.

The Spatial Vision Hub software is a superb collection of ASUS apps and features to enhance the 3D experience, including Photo Viewer, Player, Model Viewer, and Connector. Spatial Vision supports a wide range of creative software and file formats, including OpenXR, the latest open standard that is embraced by leading brands and industries.

Studiobook 16 OLED and Pro 16 OLED use non-3D Dolby Vision-certified touchscreen versions of this OLED display that are PANTONE® Validated and Calman Verified for accurate color rendering and have a Delta E of less than 1. They are also DisplayHDR™ True Black 500 certified for the deepest blacks, and TÜV Rheinland-certified for eye care. The touchscreen supports an MPP 2.0 stylus, such as the ASUS Pen 2.0, with 4096 pressure levels.

Creator-centric design

Studiobook 16 3D OLED, 16 OLED and Pro 16 OLED include many thoughtful design features to enhance the creative workflow.

The new 28%-larger 16:10 haptic touchpad is a boon for efficient creativity. It's the world’s first haptic touchpad with support for an MPP 2.0 stylus, making it even more versatile, and it uses linear resonant actuator (LRA) technology to provide the most precise and responsive haptic feedback.

ASUS Dial is an intuitive physical rotary control that provides instant and precise fingertip control over parameters in creative apps, such as brush size, saturation, or layer opacity. It can also adjust screen brightness and volume, or vertical scroll for a smoother creative workflow. It works with any app and is fully customizable.

To help reduce the spread of harmful bacteria, frequently-touched surfaces are treated with ASUS Antimicrobial Guard, which is scientifically proven to inhibit the growth of bacteria by more than 99% over a 24-hour periodii.

A high-tech anti-fingerprint nano-coating preserves the clean and minimalist matte Mineral Black finish of ProArt Studiobook. This coating is not only tough and durable, but it also reduces reflectivity and has a premium silky feel. Any water on the surface can simply be wiped off, thanks to the water-beading properties of the coating.

All new Studiobook models meet the ultra-demanding MIL-STD 810H military standard for reliability and durability, undergoing a punishing test regime that includes extended tests for operation in harsh environments. It also passes ASUS laptop tests that far exceed standards set by the industry.

With a full complement of I/O ports, connecting ProArt Studiobook 16 3D OLED, 16 OLED or Pro 16 OLED to studio peripherals, display devices and networks is easy. There are two Thunderbolt™ 4 USB-C® ports with Power Delivery, DisplayPort and VR support; two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports; a standard RJ45 gigabit Ethernet LAN port; the latest HDMI 2.1 FRL port; and an SD Express 7.0 card reader that puts connectivity leagues ahead of the pack. A convenient 3.5 mm audio combo jack takes care of incoming and outgoing audio connections.
