TAIPEI, Taiwan, March 12, 2025 — ASUS today announced that it was listed by Clarivate as one of the Top 100 Global Innovators 2025, which recognizes the world’s most innovation-driven companies. According to Clarivate, ASUS has demonstrated outstanding innovative performance through its strong patent strategy, especially in terms of patent influence and comprehensive geographical reach.

The Top 100 Innovators listing is based on the volume of patent filings, patents awarded, the quality of the patented technology, and the leadership in innovation that the patents hold. ASUS is committed to innovation and research & development (R&D), with intellectual property being one of its key efforts. The number of its patent applications worldwide has grown each year. As of Q3 2024, ASUS had obtained a total of 7,447 patents since its founding, across various countries, and had secured 453 patents globally in 2024, including:
- 148 patents in Taiwan
- 130 patents across other Asian regions
- 175 patents in Europe and North America
ASUS has also been active in the high-end telecommunications market. As of Q3 2024, the company had filed 234 patent applications in this field. Furthermore, by the end of 2024, ASUS had declared 367 standard-essential patent (SEP) families to the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI), demonstrating steady growth in overall SEP holdings within the telecommunications sector. In addition, the quality of these patents can be partially assessed through their utilization, with ASUS actively licensing its patents in the communications field.
