TAIPEI, Taiwan, October 9, 2025 — ASUS today announced Retro Brown and Modern Black colorways for the ProArt PA602 Wood Edition case, and a Beige colorway for the PA401 Wood Edition case. These desktop PC cases infuse natural elements with carefully crafted hardware to produce something simultaneously earthen and impossibly clean. These latest colorways for the PA401 and PA602 take the pursuit of organic perfection further, bringing retro colors and rustic tones to vivid life.
Refined lifestyle design
Despite being different sizes, the ProArt PA401 Wood Edition and ProArt PA602 Wood Edition share a central lure: gorgeous, durable wooden front panels. This wood is certified by the FSC™ for sustainability, so users can respect the environment and their PC’s style profile at the same time. These cases perfectly blend the beauty of real wood and the symmetry of an ASUS-engineered front panel into one refined result.
The wooden elements of each case receive a thermowood treatment for protection from insects, humidity and heat, followed by a two-step coating process that produces a low-sheen finish. This nets a durable, slick front panel — a lifestyle design with the strength to hold up in any environment.
ASUS offers multiple colorways across the PA401 Wood Edition and PA602 Wood Edition. In addition to the newly announced colorways, a standard Black option is also available for the PA401 or PA602.
Further refining the signature ash wood front panel on the ProArt PA401, a new beige finish brings a modern aesthetic to the premium wood material. Plus, an updated white cable set ensures a cohesive visual flow throughout the build.
Complementing the beige chassis finish, the two 160mm front fans also feature beige-colored frames and blades, which is technically challenging; while the color of the chassis is achieved with paint, the fan frames and blades are fashioned directly from color-matched plastic through injection molding. Consistent color tone across various parts and components requires advanced techniques, and they are delivered with the PA401.
Exceptional cooling performance
These wooden front panel elements go beyond aesthetics. Their open-grille arrangement ensures a case gets unimpeded airflow, keeping internal components healthy.
The PA401 and PA602 both pack three preinstalled, extra-thick PWM fans for high airflow and pleasant acoustics. The PA401 features two front 160mm fans and a rear 120mm fan, while the PA602 includes two front 200mm fans and one rear 140mm fan. In conjunction with smartly organized interiors, these chassis keep CPU and GPU temperatures cooler than competing open-grille case designs. These cases also feature removable dust filters to help keep things squeaky-clean on the inside. In addition, the PA602 includes a system that automatically detects how much dust, microfibers and other particles have built up on the front filter, and it will illuminate an LED on the side of the chassis when it is time to give the filters a good cleaning.
The PA401 and PA602 feature front panels with integrated PWM control, letting users switch their PC's fan mode with ease. Alternate between maximum cooling power or letting the PC manage fan speeds with the tap of a button.
To take cooling even further, the PA602 has dual air deflectors, funneling fresh air toward the graphics card and CPU cooler. This bigger case is designed to house seriously demanding parts, so keeping those components cool helps a whole machine operate.
Creator-focused convenience
Both the PA401 and PA602 strive to make PC building as easy as possible. Their side panels release with a single key press, offering instant access to internals. Both also give users ample cable management, with 34mm of space for the PA401 and 30mm for the PA602. This ensures wires can be easily and effectively tidied up and hidden from view. In addition, these cases offer vertical or horizontal graphics card installation, empowering users to optimize their layout the way they prefer. For those looking to add more fans to their setup, both the PA401 and PA602 make it easy with a pre-installed PWM fan hub.
The PA401 chassis features a detachable rear bracket for effortless PSU installation. Tool-free 3.5-inch disk drive installation similarly simplifies the building process. Integrated rear cable clips help users keep wires tidy and out of sight, while a locking latch for the left panel makes sure it does not pop open unexpectedly.
The PA602 packs its own perks that simplify the build process. Integrated carrying handles on the top panel and built-in wheels help users move the case around securely. Its unified header for front panel functions streamlines a vital step in your build process, and users will enjoy screwdriver-free PCIe® add-in card installation, too. For convenience, a WiFi antenna storage compartment neatly hidden in the top panel gives users a spot to tuck away their motherboard’s antenna whenever they do not need it.
Modern connectivity
Both the PA401 and the PA602 give users the front panel connectivity they need for maximum convenience. The PA401 features two USB 3.0 Type-A ports and a USB 20Gbps Type-C® port. Thanks to its larger size, the PA602 features all of this plus two additional USB 2.0 ports.
Next to these ports, both chassis’ panels include a physical lock latch. This latch stops users from accidentally tapping their PC's power button.
